As far as diet is concerned, cut way back on desserts, chocolate and snacks such as cookies, chips, ice cream and candy. Stay away from soft drinks and fruit juice. Limit the amount of fats you eat. Use liquid oils not solid fat for cooking. Starchy veggies should be limited, especially parsnips, beets, and potatoes. Milk should only be drunk in small amounts, and watch the yogurts that include fruit or those that are sweetened. |
